Day 7: Tears

It was another strike day, so in order to make it to a 9:15 movie I had to leave JLP at 7:57 and the train was 20 minutes late. I watched Girls of the Sun first thing this morning and it was the single most impactful and depressing film I have ever seen. It was such a important look into gender and war. From the birth scene on I cried the entire time. It was also a competition film so I believe it should win main award. Immediately after this film I went and watched My Big Gay Italian Wedding and it was surprisingly good? It was also a secret musical.

Then I saw one of the actors from Framed and he has the scariest face and I cried again! Then a lady tried to scam me out of 10 dollars and I called her out on it and it was both super intense and super uncomfortable. I headed back to JLP early to write, but I then fell sleep.

Also, I have eaten so many fries on this trip because everything thing else is so expensive. I found a gluten-free and vegan place in Cannes called Pure. It is unsurprisingly expensive and the hours make no sense.
